There is something completely mesmerizing about living in Atlanta. Whether it be the four distinct beautiful seasons, or maybe even the southern twang that you hear every now and then, there is nothing quite like Atlanta, Georgia. Located right smack dab in the middle of the South, there is not place in the world that can compete with Atlanta's uniqueness.
In Atlanta, there are four distinct seasons every single year. Summers are hotter than the devil with a fever, the fall is cool with crisp air and leaves, the winter is literally freezing, and spring is infested with pollen and gorgeous plants blooming. To experience all four seasons in Atlanta is truly a gift, because they are all incredibly beautiful. The summers can get extremely hot. Summertime in Atlanta is a time for tank tops and shorts every single day. And not only is it blistering hot, but it's also humid. The muggy heat of an Atlanta summer might not be the most enjoyable thing in the world, but it is something that everyone should experience at least once.
Fall in Atlanta is breathtaking. There is every shade of red, orange, and yellow that you could ever imagine, and there's a certain smell in the air. It is a very pleasant smell. It's light, crisp, and fresh. Winter in Atlanta can be interesting. There is usually one good snowfall a year, and it is what every kid in elementary school looks forward to. Having a snow day is the best. Atlanta is unlike the North in that it only gets a few inches of snow a year, and unlike the South in that it actually sees snow. It's the perfect balance. And then there is spring time. Aside from the pollen that will make even people without allergies start to sneeze, it is absolutely gorgeous. Describing it wouldn't give it the justice it deserves, it is simply something that everyone should experience in their life time. Remember to bring the tissues though. There is no shortage of runny noses.
Not only does Atlanta have pretty much the best climate, it's also in the South! Where else could you possibly want to be? Being in the South is magical. Southern hospitality, the drawl, the gorgeous Georgia peaches (the girls not the fruit), not to mention the sweet tea, it is all such an experience. There is nothing quite like sitting on the back porch on a hot summer day rocking in a rocking chair. Being called honey and darlin' when you go to a restaurant is something that make even the grumpiest Yankee weak at the knees. It is something special that you couldn't find anywhere else if you tried.
