What Are the Symptoms of COVID-19?

Since the CDC announced that it is possible for people to be carriers of the coronavirus and not even know it, many people have started wondering how to tell if they have contracted the virus. We care about the safety of our customers and want to do our part in flattening the curve. Our Nashville movers share common symptoms of COVID-19.

Those who have actually contracted COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms, from mild to severe. Consult a doctor if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-191:

- Cough

- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

- Fever

- Chills

- Tremors

- Muscle pain

- Headache

- Sore throat

- New loss of taste or smell

Our Nashville local movers would like to note you should contact your primary care physician if you are not feeling well. You know your body better than anyone, so if you sense something is off or you're not feeling well, regardless of whether or not you experience these specific symptoms of COVID-19, consult a medical professional. For the safety of the community and healthcare workers, perhaps opt for a telehealth appointment first before an in-person consultation is deemed necessary.

What Is Antibody Testing?

After the announcement of the coronavirus, many people were tested. Those who tested positive for the coronavirus were asked to provide a blood sample for an antibody test. Scientists were able to gather that people who had COVID-19 had developed antibodies.

Antibody testing checks a sample of a person's blood to look for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. These antibodies are produced when someone has been infected, so a positive result from this test indicates that person was previously infected with the virus.

Moving During COVID-19 Pandemic with All My Sons Moving & Storage

As of right now, the CDC is not sure if the antibodies from COVID-19 can be used as a vaccine, meaning that if someone who previously had COVID-19 were to receive antibodies, they would not be able to get COVID-19 again. The CDC is also not sure how long the antibodies will protect someone from COVID-19.

Additionally, since it normally takes 1-3 weeks to develop antibodies to COVID-19, relying on antibody tests will not accurately tell you if you have COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and would like to know if you are currently infected, you will need to get tested for the coronavirus.
