North Richland Hills, for more than 100 years, was part of a larger farming community that was established through a land grant in 1848. But, in 1952, Clarence Jones began to subdivide his 268 acre farm into a suburban division. In 1953 the city of North Richland Hills was officially incorporated with a population of 500. Since then the city has grown rapidly, reaching 16,000 people by 1970, 45,000 by 1990, and currently sitting at almost 64,000 residents.
The town is located under 10 miles north east of downtown Fort Worth, and it is constantly growing. Money Magazine placed it in its “Top 100 Best Places to live in America” in 2006. The city has a diverse job market and is also adjacent to many other cities with great job markets, including Fort Worth. If you are looking to move in the Fort Worth area, North Richland Hills would make a great home for anyone.
